I wish, ha! No, mine is a €5 Aliexpress headset. But I can make phone calls with it, so the mic works.

But I tried without the headset and just using the phone and also voice search doesn’t work. I need to do something for the recording to start, but I don’t know what. Pushing the 🎤 on the screen is not it.

I just tried using my phone and it works perfectly, perhaps you should get a Superior Samsung

I still have a Note8 somewhere. Should i really change my 14 Pro Max for the old Note8 just to be able to voice search?

Toontje, you have probably tried this but this is what I did.

Go to Call, Voice search, right arrow to "Say contact name after the beep", wait for beep, it will come up with Listening... say name of a contact, then it will repeat the name etc...

I am talking about Navigation. not calling. The day i want to call someone while riding my bike..... i'll take the car. 😁

I was testing the mic, it should work for both. I wont use it either whilst riding.
So you want to ask it to find a place or address?

Doesn't really matter. I want it to listen to me. Or at least give an indication that it's listening to me.

So I am trying to do a voice search for a destination I want to go to using RoadSync Navigation. Therefor I do a voice search using either my phone or, if connected, my Bluetooth headset. The issue I am having is that I have no indication that RoadSync is actually recording my voice. I don’t know if I do something wrong, if I need to tap or click something to make it record. While I am speaking, there is no response whatsoever from the app.
I can search by typing the destination.

Do you have to do something between image 3 and 4? I mean, anything else than just speaking?

Well, I guess it doesn’t work for me. Need to investigate further. I was just curious to what I am doing wrong. For navigation itself I normally use my Beeline.

I told you I was missing something. Turns out that you have to have the volume turned up to hear the “Voice Search” prompt and the beep. Then it records.
All good, but I have to switch the phone to Spanish for Voice Search to recognise the Spanish names. Spanish names don’t go well together with English phone settings.
All working now. All good.

I know now how to make it work. What i don't know is why it didn't work before. Just a matter of timing? Because i didn't hear the prompt i never actually recorded anything? Looks like it.
