My local dealer has had a delivery this morning. I spy a Transalp, is it mine?

A demo bike has arrived at my dealer in Shrewsbury. They called me this morning to book a test ride for next Wednesday. Won't belong before mine arrives.

Another big delivery today, at least 4 white Transalps. Hopefully one is mine. Test ride tomorrow.
For the few lucky souls who have their XL 750 on the pavement, can you straighten my out. Im getting mixed reviews about the front forks having an adjustment for preload. Suppose to have 15 clicks of adjustment. I'm really holding my breath my XL 750 "Doi Inthanon" puller will have said adjustments. I wish.
Any feedback?... no? You need to stop riding once in a while! ha ha
I'm not sure as I've heard mixed messages about fork adjustment. I did notice a double nut arrangement on the fork tops though.

No preload adjustment (or any other adjustments) on the front forks. I guess they will be available aftermarket really soon.
Front and rear have pre load and for generic off. Roading will be sufficient.

looking at the type of adjuster that it looks like preload on both forks. As for sure they will be a spring in both sides.

Hope the below helps.

Suspension is 43mm preload-only Showa forks and similarly preload-only Showa shock

Where did you see that?
In MCN , motorcycle News test rider report.

you can see the pre load adjustment in the picture Toontje.

Suspension is preload adjustable with a set of Showa forks at the front and a new Africa Twin-style aluminium swingarm with shock mounted vertically directly to the frame at the rear. There’s 200mm of wheel travel at the front, 190mm at the rear.
I guess an owner needs to give the resolution because I read (and see) this: “Showa handles the suspension duties. The SFF-CA (Separate Function Fork-Cartridge) fork is non-adjustable and has nearly eight inches of travel. The triple clamps mix a forged aluminum bottom clamp and cast aluminum top clamp for optimized flexibility and strength. The shock has spring-preload adjustment and moderates 7.5 inches of wheel travel with the help of a linkage system and aluminum swingarm.”

Having said that, this link tells us different again.
That’s good, then every day is a learning day and this is good news!! I happened to see one on the road today and I turned around to follow. It sounded lovely!!
